On Friday morning February 2, 2007 at 08:15 hr the Bergenfield responded to a "Working Structure Fire". A second alarm was transmitted while primary units were still enroute and a third alarm was transmitted by the Fire Chief upon his arrival. The Alli family, husband & wife and seven children lost everything. The family also had no insurance coverage.

The Bergenfield Fire Department along with the NJ & NY, Bergenfield Social Services, Red Cross, and the Bergen County Relief Center was able to help get the family back on their feet.

The family has moved in temporarily with relatives in Teaneck.

President Kirsch along with past President Aitkin made contact with H&M Leasing. As soon as the families basic clothing sizes were obtained, clothing was ordered for the family.
